Ramsey Nasr is a unique and miscellaneous artist. He is a poet, writer, essayist, actor and director. He is known from Toneelgroep Amsterdam. He received the prestigious Louis d’Or for his role in The Fountainhead. He debuted as poet in 2000 with the bundle 27 gedichten & geen lied and was Dichter Des Vaderlands. Nasr already made some beautiful poetic translations of psalms from Latin.
Désanne van Brederode is a philosopher and writer. She debuted in 1994 with her widely discussed novel Ave verum corpus. Currently she has published ten novels and received the literary Gerard-Walschapprijs. She provided columns for the televisionshow Buitenhof from 2006 till 2008. As the daughter of a former jesuit and priest, she has been occupied with great and relevant philosophical questions since she was young.
Oek de Jong is a writer of works like novels, stories and essays. After his career-breaking debut novel Opwaaiende zomerjurken (1979), he wrote the postwar classics like Cirkel in het gras, Hokwerda’s Kind and Pier en Oceaan. His work has been translated in nine countries and crowned with diverse literary prizes of importance. Both in his job and own life Oek de Jong researches religion, spirituality and meaning.
